Cattalini Maritime Terminals was founded in July 1st. of 1981.
The construction of five tanks with a total storage capacity of 12.000 tons of soybean oil was a landmark for success. This infrastructure served as a heartbeat to keep the constancy road transportation pace of 100 tons per hour, from the Terminal to the Pier.
With a deep concern for safety operational procedures, Cattalini realized the great risk of transferring bulk chemicals in tank trucks to the pier. For this reason, the Company decided to change strategies in 1987, building a storage terminal with 38,000 cubic meters of capacity for bulk cargo.
In 1987, Cattalini started a new operational procesSs by updating constantly the capacity of storage according to demand. This new structure allowed the Company to a second terminal. Nevertheless, new projects for growth and specialization are in progress.
At the present moment, it is rewarding to know that all our efforts to accomplish clients’ needs, led us to a total storage capacity of 278,000 cubic meters in 85 tanks certified by ISO 14001. Cattalini is also authorized by A.N.P. (Port Authority) for handling oil derivates on our bonded warehousing to our private pier witch is ready to operate two 50,000 DWT vessels simultaneously.
